I use Duet display sometimes, but it is far from perfect. I have no problems running Adobe Photoshop on my Macbook Air. Is it planned to include an upgrade to retina displays within the life of Elements 12? If you'd like to view their content together, click. It lets you use the full functionality of the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro along with any desktop mac app. I will likely get the desktop Mac, if it isn't going to be portable and touch screen friendly I might as well get the largest screen I can for editing when I'm at home.

I haven't pulled the trigger on an iPad Pro upgrade just yet. And yes, maybe not the newest Core i7 fast, but it is Core i7 fast. And if you want to use one you have to subscribe and you have to do your work in the cloud. Someone already mentioned this a while a go but there is an application called Astropad. While it might not have some of the advanced tools that others have, Seashore can still hold its own, so be sure to check it out. However the program does tend to lag a bit, especially on older machines, but it's a great launchpad for users just getting their feet wet.
